New Challenge for H

4 September 2014

Deadline day signing Achille Campion has stated that he is delighted to be at Port Vale, he feels when his match fitness is up to scratch he will hopefully make a difference to the Vale team.

Speaking to the press today, Achille said: “I’m happy to be here, the goal in the reserves was good, but now I want to score with the first team.

“I’m just trying to get fit at the moment as soon as I’m fit I’ll be ready to go in the first team.

“I’m on top of my fitness, I just need to be ready for a long season. In America we play a lot of games, in a short amount of time now it’s going to be over a longer period.”

Achille who likes to be known as H, played several years in America, but feels that for him to get the best out of his game he needed a new challenge.

He feels England is where that new challenge lies, and he wants to score and play well at the club to progress his career.

“I feel that American football is very physical, but I don’t think they are ready yet to compete with English football and that is why I’m here.

“My goal as a player is to push myself to the limit, and to do that you go where you can play the best and I believe that’s in England.

I’m very hungry to succeed, I think it is important to be hungry to further your career than by at my age and happy where you’re at.”

On a final note, when asked about what kind of player he is he said:

“I’m going to bring technique and pace to Port Vale, I can hold the ball up as well which is good in the English game.”
