Legends match here at Vale Park this Sunday - Vale versus Stoke

16 May 2014

Get down to Vale Park to see the legends and support a good cause

Vale take on Stoke City for the first time for a good number of years here at Vale Park on Sunday afternoon in a game arranged by former Vale favourite Tony Naylor.

All profits from the game will go to the Alzheimer’s Society, so not only will you have an enjoyable afternoon watching your favourites, you will also be helping a well-deserving charity.

The game will be refereed by Premier League referee Phil Dowd from Biddulph and there are a large number of celebrities expected to attend the game.

On the pitch there will be former favourites from both sides of the city, with Mark Grew, Paul Musselwhite, Ian Bogey, Jon McCarthy, Neil Aspin and Steve Guppy amongst those representing the Vale in what promised to be a competitive affair.

Wearing the red & white stripes of Stoke will be Micky Thomas, Mike Pejic, Wayne ’Bertie’ Biggins, Ade Akinbayi and Martin Caruthers, as well as other well-known former Potters players.
