Club Statement Regarding Matchday Turnstiles

Designated Turnstiles For Season Ticket Holders From Boxing Day

Port Vale can confirm a change to the operation of match day turnstiles at Vale Park to be introduced at the Boxing Day fixture against Sheffield United.

The club has decided that, going forward, season ticket card holders will be able to gain access to the ground through designated turnstiles, different to those used by match ticket holders.

We hope this will reduce queues in the lead-up to games, allowing fans to enter the stadium in a safe manner and with as little disruption as possible.

Vale chairman Norman Smurthwaite said: “First of all I would like to apologise to any fans who were affected by the entry issues we had prior to the Coventry City fixture.

“Having reviewed this, we have decided that, until further notice, we will operate separate turnstiles for season ticket card holders.

“These will be clearly signposted around the stadium to allow fans to locate these designated turnstiles as easily as possible.”
