Vale receive good news and bad news
Following the sending off of defender Chris Robertson during the game against Crawley Town on Tuesday evening, the Club decided to appeal against the decision.
At a meeting of a Regulatory Committee, the Members considered the case of mistaken identity and the dismissal was then transferred to midfielder Chris Lines.
Chris Robertson will now be eligible to play as of this Saturday against Walsall, but the Commission also made a ruling on Chris Lines after the Club claimed wrongful dismissal.
The Members decided that it was not a case of wrongful dismissal; therefore Chris Lines will now serve a suspension with immediate effect.
The standard punishment is for a three-match suspension, but because Chris Lines has been dismissed earlier this season, he will now serve a four-match suspension.
