Dickinson to come in for Jones
Micky Adams will be without the services of defender Daniel Jones tomorrow following his sending off at Bramall Lane on Saturday, but says the defender won’t be particularly missed.
The Vale boss said: “If he does what he did in the first twenty minutes at Sheffield United it’s not much of a blow. It was a stupid sending off, both tackles were rash, both tackles can be avoided and he was rightly sent off.
“I’ve got no complaints about the sending off at all, but as for him being missed, it gives somebody else an opportunity to come back into the fold. Carl Dickinson will probably play at left-back and it could be costly for Daniel if we do well.
“The one good thing about is this season has been our discipline, it’s the first sending off we have had.
“There is a case for if somebody gets booked that early in the game we will have to start thinking about maybe getting them off, because it is a tightrope that they walk.
“He had another seventy minutes to go without doing anything stupid – unfortunately he fell for the old ‘five carder’.”
