66 years of hurt
What is it about bogey sides? All football teams have them, no matter what you do you just never get a result against them. West Brom always seem to struggle against Stoke, and who would have thought that the successful German national side would have one, but they have never beaten Italy in a competitive game from 8 attempts. Strange, but it happens.
time we try and win a league game in that part of the world since we last did so 66 years ago. Blimey, even Vale Park wasn’t built in those days! At least we do win the odd home game against them, because at one time we didn’t even do that and went 21 years without beating them at all. That run ended after 26 games, so maybe the away one will end after 26 as well tomorrow. All records are there to be broken, and the 1000 plus Vale fans in the crowd will be able to say ‘I was there’ knowing that it will probably be another 60 years before it happens again!thOurs is Walsall and tomorrow will be the 27
That really would be a red letter day and could even take us up into sixth place, heady days!
