Vale back tomorrow as pre-season begins
The wait is almost over, the Port Vale squad return to pre-season training tomorrow and we’ll have all the latest reaction from their first day back ahead of the Valiants new League 1 campaign.
Micky Adams’ players will be put through their paces tomorrow in a day that will test the player’s fitness from head-to-toe.

Adams and his squad will have their eye on Vale’s first pre-season fixture against Norton United on July 5 with their second game coming two days later away at Newcastle Town on July 7.
Port Vale will then travel to Ireland on July 8 until July 14. During the stay they will play Athlone Town and Bray Wanderers.
Upon returning to Vale Park the Valiants will host two friendlies against Championship sides Derby County and Leicester City.
These matches will be the first to incorporate the new scanning-ticket system that will see supporters scanned into the ground as apposed to purchasing at the turnstile.
Supporters will need to purchase a ticket prior to the match at the Ticket Office.
In-between the two games is an away friendly against Kidderminster Harriers on July 19.
Micky Adams’ first-team squad conclude their pre-season with an away friendly against Alfreton on July 27 before the League 1 campaign kicks-off on August 3 against Brentford.

Ticket prices for friendlies against Kidderminster Harriers and Alfreton have yet to be released.
