Our last two visits are unforgettable, certainly for goalkeeper Chris Martin, though he will no doubt try to wipe both matches from his memory.

He was beaten on six occasions on his Football League debut in April 2008 and his next game there was when Vale were last at the County Ground, when the home side delighted their fans with a five-nil victory to celebrate their promotion from League Two in April 2012.

For those of you who may be interested, the Robins’ goals were scored as follows: Matt Ritchie, 38, Paul Benson, 51 & 65, Aden Flint, 67, Alan Connell, 85.

VALE LINE-UP THAT DAY:

Chris Martin, John McCombe, Joe Davies, Adam Yates, Doug Loft, Chris Shuker (Paul Marshall, 68), Anthony Griffith (Ben Williamson, 60), Sean Rigg, Louis Dodds, Marc Richards, Tom Pope (Clayton McDonald, 71). Unused subs: Kingsley James, Sam Morsy
