Vale first played at the Lamex Stadium in Stevenage’s promotion season to the Football League, when Louis Dodds settled matters in an FA Cup replay.
The next time (and the last time) we were there was for a League Two match the following season, but this time it was the home side who finished victorious.
All square at half time, it began looking like Vale might take something home with them, but a single goal from Lawrie Wilson settled matters in favour of the home side.
