Grew happy whatever the side

Mark Grew remains tight-lipped regarding Tuesday's team selection

Mark Grew has told the press that unlike Saturday’s opener against Brentford, the players won’t know the starting line-up for the Walsall match until the day of the game.

He did, however, reiterate that whoever is in the side, it will not be a weakened team as he feels anybody in the squad has enough experience to do a job.

He said: “Daniel Jones jarred his thumb so that’s not a problem and everybody else has trained, so I can’t see any problems, but we won’t be naming the side just yet.

“We will be having a little think about it in the next few hours and so the lads don’t know the side for tomorrow night yet.

“Anybody on that bench has got vast experience. If you look at that bench on Saturday, they have all got a lot of league games, so I wouldn’t call them fringe players, they are squad players.

“They are all raring to get their chance and whichever team we put out tomorrow night won’t be weakened at all.”
