The Vale second string showed that they could emulate the first team with a another comprehensive victory against a team from Yorkshire.

Five minutes later Vale were awarded a penalty when Robert Hiza brought Kingsley James down in the box. Ben Williamson stroked the ball home to regain the lead. Burge forced a good save from Stuart Morrison with a curling free kick and Vale increased their lead on the stroke of half time. A cross from the left saw Williamson take the ball with his back to goal but he turned and fired the ball into the far corner of the net in one movement for his second goal of the night.
