Vale midfielder Tom Conlon is the Sky Bet League Two Goal of the Month winner for April, receiving 47% of the public vote.

When Barrow keeper Joel Dixon launched a goal-kick, the last thing he expected was Conlon seizing his chance to arc an audaciously looped volley over him from the halfway line.

Talking about the goal Tom said: "Joycey did really to win the header and then it's just popped up perfectly and I just thought 'Why Not!?'.

"The moment I hit it I instantly thought 'it's got a chance!' and luckily it went in."

Conlon beat off competition from Cheltenham Town’s Callum Wright & Walsall’s Emmanuel Osadebe.
