Match Officials: Morecambe

The Valiants will travel to the Globe Arena for their first away league match of the year tomorrow as they take on Morecambe. The match officials for the fixture have been confirmed and can be found below:

Marc Edwards has been confirmed as the official who will take charge of Port Vale's fourth fixture of 2020 against The Shrimps. Edwards is in his debut season of officiating league football, having officiated 22 National League games last season and 19 matches so far this season.

EFL Trophy: 3 (19/20)

League One: 5 (19/20)

FA Cup: 2 (19/20)

National League: 22 (18/19)

Over the course of the 22 games Edwards officiated last season, he issued 68 yellow cards and one red card. So far this season in the 19 games officiated, a total of 39 yellow cards and one red card have been issued. Edwards has previously referred the Valiants this season, first in a 1-0 home win over Plymouth Argyle and then in a 6-4 penalty shootout win at home to Mansfield Town in the second round of the Leasing.com trophy.

His assistants will be David Avent and Anthony Moore, with Matthew Parry taking on the role as fourth official.
