RIP Shaun Kelly

This morning I was extremely saddened to hear the news of our friend, lifelong Port Vale fan and valued member of our Valiant family, Shaun Kelly, who sadly passed away earlier this week.

All of you will know Shaun for his extremely caring nature and bad jokes. He had suffered from poor health over the last few years, so had not managed to see as many Vale games as he would have liked. However, it didn’t matter how bad he was feeling, he still managed to find the time to check up on everyone else.

Supporters Club Chairman Mark Porter said: ‘Shaun was a lovely man, always had time for anyone, he literally was one of the nicest blokes you could ever meet he was funny he loved his friends, his family and he literally had time for anyone. If you were sad or down he would drop you a message and make you feel better, he was there for everyone. He was a devoted son, a loved brother and a proud uncle, my condolences to Shaun’s Family & friends. Shaun will live on in our hearts forever and will always be part of the Vale family RIP Shaun’

All I can add to that is Shaun had the biggest heart and the tightest hug. He loved his music, he enjoyed cooking and he loved the Vale.

From everyone at Port Vale Football Club, may you now Rest In Peace. You will be sadly missed.

Our sincere condolences to all of Shaun’s family and friends. We are sending our love at this sad time.
