Loan Watch

We take a look at our six players currently on loan away from the club, as Harry Benns, Rob Lainton and Tyrone Barnett all feature for their respective clubs.

Harry Benns – Stafford Rangers

Harry played a full 90 minutes for Stafford Rangers last Saturday as his side bowed out of the FA Cup, suffering a 3-1 loss at King’s Lynn. Though the Rangers boss was hopeful of a cup run, Steve Burr admitted his side were second best from the first whistle. Up next for Benns and Stafford Rangers is a home tie against Basford United on Tuesday 25th September.

Rob Lainton – Wrexham AFC

Lainton was named as a starter in Wrexham’s away fixture with Sutton United though was on the wrong end a comprehensive 3-0 scoreline. Rob’s search for clean sheet was made that much more difficult when Luke Summerfield, Wrexham’s number seven, was sent off in the 45th minute. Wrexham will be looking to bounce this Saturday as they welcome Barnet to the Racecourse Ground on Saturday 29th September.

Tyrone Barnett – Cheltenham Town

Barnett played for over an hour in the Robins 3-1 defeat to Exeter City. Goals from Pierce Sweeney, Jayden Stockley and Jonathon Forte condemned Michael Duff’s side to defeat in the Sky Bet League Two fixture. Tyrone will have the opportunity to get off the mark for his new club this Saturday as Cheltenham face Lincoln City on home soil.

Dior Angus/Mike Calveley – Nuneaton Borough

Despite featuring against Spennymoor Town the previous week, both Dior and Mike missed out this week as Nuneaton Borough drew 1-1 with Brackley Town in the Second Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup. They will be looking to be amongst the team this Tuesday as Borough play the replay in order to progress in the cup.

Dan Turner – Falkirk

The young forward is yet to feature for Falkirk as a hamstring injury has kept him sidelined since the opening day of the season.
