Port Vale team up with Royal British Legion and Ticket for Troops to remember the fallen

The club is proud to announce that we will be supporting the Royal British Legion to honour the fallen with special edition Port Vale badges, along with Tickets for Troops for a dedicated home fixture.

To commemorate 100 years since the end of World War 1, Vale have teamed up with the Royal British Legion to create the special edition badges, which can be bought from the club shop for £5.

£3 of the proceeds raised from the badges sold will be donated straight to the Royal British Legion, which will help support members of the armed forces.

As a club we will remember those who gave their today for our tomorrow, they will never be forgotten, especially our former Vale players who fell during the war.

Our true Valiants who lost their lives in the war are as followed:

Frank Cannon

Joseph ‘Tommy’ Regan

Leigh Richmond ‘Dickie’ Roose

John Shelton

Robert Suart

Jack George Yuill

Tom Cooper

Haydn Dackins

Sam Jennings

Alongside our partnership with the Royal British Legion, we will also be donating 50 tickets to Tickets for Troops to mark Remembrance Day on Sunday 11th November.

Tickets for Troops provides free tickets to members of the Armed Forces for a variety of sporting, musical and cultural events. The service offers serving personnel and those medically discharged from the forces since 2001, the well-deserved opportunity to enjoy an event of their choice with their friends and families.

The charity is primarily funded by donations. To donate click here, as money raised goes towards providing thousands of tickets for our brave servicemen and women.

As we are unaware where will be playing that weekend due it being an FA Cup fixture, our donated tickets will be for our home fixture against Swindon Town on the 24th November.
