Product of the Port Vale Academy who was handed his league debut by Darrell Clarke on the opening day of the 2022/23 campaign.
Having netted six goals and provided 11 assists for the Under 18s in the 2021/22 season, Youth Team Player of the Year Tommy McDermott earned the opportunity to train with the Vale’s first team in the latter stages of their promotion-winning campaign and during pre-season in preparation for our return to League One.
Rewarded with a first professional contract in July, McDermott started the Vale’s first League One match in five years, playing 67 minutes of the opening day win against Fleetwood Town.
Further league and cup appearances have followed for the attacking midfield player, who will be looking to establish himself in Clarke’s side in 2022/23 and beyond.
