The talented youngster is quickly becoming a fans favourite at Vale Park with the 19-year old turning the heads of many across the football league. The local lad is a Vale scholar who made his debut during the 2015/16 season against Rochdale.

After his debut season for the Valiants, Turner spent time away with Kidsgrove Athletic for the 2016/17 season. He scored five goals in four league games for Athletic, including a brace on his debut against Chasetown and Bedworth. After his month loan came to an end, he joined Worcester City in the division above where he only made one appearance in a 1-1 draw with Curzon Ashton.

Towards the end of last season, Dan became a regular substitute for Michael Brown in Port Vale’s bid to stay up. He received the number 19 shirt and nearly got his first goal for Vale in a 2-0 loss to Oxford United, but his effort was deemed offside.

After signing a new contract in May 2017, the 19-year old can look forward to a progressive season in Port Vale colours.

His exciting speed and finishing ability will be put to good use in League Two this season with his chances likely to be maximised in such conditions.
