A graduate of Vale's academy, Davis made his first team debut at Vale Park on the 30th of April 2011 as a substitute in a 7-2 victory over Morecambe.
After winning the club's Youth Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards at the end of the 2011/12 season, he was rewarded with a professional contract.
Despite that, appearances were limited during the next two seasons and a short loan spell at Luton Town followed before Davis left Vale to join Leicester City's development squad in 2014.
In October 2015, the defender joined Fleetwood Town on loan, but that was upgraded to a permanent deal in January 2016. Davis went on to make over 30 appearances for the Cod Army before being released in the summer of 2017.
Michael Brown then re-signed Davis on a two-year deal and the 23-year-old defender will be hoping to play a big part for Vale in 2017/18.
