John Askey has emphasised how keen he's been to secure his first away win of the season for the Vale, and though it may not have been in the league, the win at Macclesfield Town in the cup on Tuesday would've been a weight off his shoudlers. Goals from Scott Burgess, Richie Bennett and Jake Taylor secured the Vale their second group stage win in the competition.
The win alongside the dramatic point picked up at the weekend against Mansfield Town will have no doubt been a massive confidence booster for John Askey's side, as they head to Orient hoping they can make it two wins in two on the road when we head to the capital.
Vale were given a massive boost on Tuesday when Manny Oyeleke and Jordan Archer returned from injury to feature against Macclesfield Town. Doubts surround Cristian Montano and David Amoo as to whether they will be fit enough to make the squad this afternoon whilst Tom Conlon still remains sidelined with a knee injury.
The performances have been decent, we might not have won but we’ve got results away from home, Tuesday night was our first [away] win so I’m not too concerned.

It's safe to say the summer everyone associated with Leyton Orient experienced is one that is unimaginable amongst the majority of us. The tragic passing of manager Justin Edinburgh came as a shock to everyone, so soon after he had just got the club promoted as champions of the National League.
The sudden passing of Justin meant his assistant manager Ross Embleton stepped up to take on the role as interim head coach. The O's have experienced a difficult start to the league however, and sit 21st with just nine points and without a win in their past six games.
Ross Embleton confirmed at the start of the week that he would be stepping back down to assistant manager, as the club now searches for a new head coach, but Embleton will take charge of the clubs game this afternoon.
What I would say is please stick with us and more importantly stick with the boys, if people want to aim criticism at someone, I'm more than happy to take that
