LOAN WATCH

We take a look at how our players out on loan got on during the week

Dior Angus and Mike Calveley were on the wrong end of a 6-0 thrashing last weekend as their Nuneaton Borough side were beaten by Bradford (Park Avenue). Having been 3-0 down at half-time, our loanee's job became that much harder in the 63rd minute when Cameron Belford was sent off in the Nuneaton net. Both of our players played the full 90 minutes in the league defeat.

Tyrone Barnett enjoyed a mixed week for the Robins after scoring his first goal for Cheltenham Town against Forest Green Rovers. The forward did the hard work in the first place to earn his side a penalty, before following up the rebound from the spot-kick to score his first goal of the season. Barnett was forced to retire from the game with a dead-leg though has been cleared to play against Stevenage this weekend.

Rob Lainton started in goal as Wrexham AFC overcame Harrogate Town in the FA Cup. Goals from Akil Wright Luke Young helped Wrexham on their way to a 2-0 cup victory, with Lainton playing a pivotal role in ensuring his clean sheet stayed in tact.

Harry Benns played 79 minutes in Stafford Rangers 3-1 defeat to Hyde United. Goals from John McCombe, Connor Simpson and Tom Pratt sent Rangers on their way to an eight league defeat of the season. Next up for Stafford are Rushall Olympic in the first qualifying round of the FA Trophy.
