We are delighted to announce the signing of Antony Kay from Bury on a two year-deal.
The experienced defender has completed his move from Gigg Lane to Vale Park ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
With over 550 career appearances, the 34 year-old joins Vale with a vast amount of experience under his belt.
Antony began his career at Barnsley, coming through the ranks whilst Assistant Manager Chris Morgan was at the club.
Kay experienced promotion twice with the Tykes, once in 2004 and secondly in 2006, where he scored the winning goal in the play-off final penalty shoot-out against Swansea City.
In 2007, the defender joined Tranmere Rovers, making just under 100 appearances, before moving on too Huddersfield Town.
Another promotion then followed the defender as he helped The Terriers win the 2011/12 League One play-off final.
Kay then left Huddersfield and joined Milton Keynes Dons, where he made over 150 appearances over four years, including another promotion in 2015.
The defender then joined Bury at the start of last season and became a regular for the Shakers, making 47 appearances at Gigg Lane.
Antony has also helped out at the other end, scoring 50 goals during his career.
Kay will link up with his new team mates tomorrow when they return for pre-season ahead of the Sky Bet League Two campaign.
