Following the conclusion of the Checkatrade Trophy Group draw yesterday afternoon, we now know who Vale will be coming up against this year.
Newcastle United Under-23’s completed Group D, which means they join ourselves, Oldham Athletic and Crewe Alexandra.
Michael Brown and his side will kick-off the competition away at Oldham Athletic, the week commencing the 28th of August, away at Boundary Park.
Next up will see the Toon Army and their under-23 side heading to Vale Park the week commencing the 2nd of October.
Finally, Crewe Alexandra will make the short trip back to Vale Park for the second time in just over two months, the week commencing the 6th of November.
