Creating Sporting Memorabilia of the Future!

Bring your Port Vale Football programme along to the Museum and get it signed by the award winning Sports Artist Paine Proffitt.


Paine, has for many years been working with the football teams of Stoke, producing unique artwork for the official match day programmes. His work captures the majesty of the game and the passion of the supporters both past and present; Marrying the artistic achievement and sporting excellence of our city.

Paine’s Art work has been a leading feature in the cities art exhibition Masters of Art and Sport at the Potteries Museum. A tribute to Stoke-on-Trent being awarded the UK’s European Sport of City 2016.

Come along to the Potteries Museum from 1pm on Sunday 12th February for the final set piece: a football themed day for children and families. Meet the artist, get your programme signed, see the Port Vale football memorabilia and be inspired by the exhibition.

• Masters of Art and Sport unites sporting excellence with cultural heritage lead by Staffordshire's award winning artist Paine Proffitt as well as ‘Masters of Art and Sport’ Ambassadors: Kian Emadi and Emily Nelson - GB Cycling, Danielle Wyatt - England Country Cricket, Ian Marsden - GB Paracanoe.
