Brown Talks Debutants and Foley Comeback

Port Vale fell to a disappointing home defeat to Peterborough United on Saturday, despite a promising performance.

During the defeat, Sam Foley made his return to first team action for Port Vale since suffering an injury back in October.

 

 

Furthermore, Olamide Shodipo and Leonardo Fasan made their Vale Park bows and despite the defeat, Vale boss Michael Brown is aware of the positives that are able to taken from the performance.

 

Brown spoke exclusively to Valiant PlayerHD after the game about Foley’s return: “What a performance from a lad who has been out so long. You can see that we have missed his energy and it is great to have him back.”

Shodipo made his first start for Vale since signing for the club from QPR days before deadline day.

 

The 19-year old came off with 20 minutes left, but his manager was pleased with his debut performance: “We saw what he is about in flashes and what he can bring to the team with his pace. The end product wasn’t quite there today but it was an encouraging performance and hopefully he can push on next week.”

 

All three players will be looking to cement their places in the starting XI when Vale make the trip to London to face Gillingham next Saturday.
