It was a fantastic start to life at Kidsgrove Athletic for young striker Dan Turner, as he scored two on his debut for the club.

Turner played a vital role in helping the Grove pick up their first win of the new season and his two goals showed home supporters what they can come to expect from him.

Goalkeeper Ryan Boot went straight into the starting eleven for his debut for Worcester City and he helped to win his new club three points.

City beat Bradford Park Avenue 3-0 and Boot also helped the club keep their first clean sheet in the league this season.

Ryan Lloyd played a full 90 minutes for Chester away at Aldershot and the midfielder almost won the game for the Blues.

Lloyd watched on as his long range effort rebound off the woodwork as the visitors pressed for all three points.

Sam Johnson was unable to keep Braintree Town at bay, but he was able to help Gateshead to the win.

The Heed won convincingly 4-1 and moved up in to 7th in the National League, just two points off the play-offs.

To League One and striker JJ Hooper was an unused substitute as Northampton Town defeated Walsall 2-0 at Sixfields.
