There was an FA Cup head to head clash between two of our loanee's this weekend as Southport came up against Chester.

The Sandgrounders Nathan Ferguson was on the right side of a 1-0 scoreline as he helped to knock Chester's Ryan Lloyd out of the FA Cup.

Southport took the lead in the first half in the FA Cup Fourth Round Qualifying clash.

In Non-League and it was a great debut for young goalkeeper Harry Pickering, as he helped Kidsgrove to a 2-0 win away at Carlton Town.

Elsewhere, it was a good day for Ryan Boot as well, as he secured a clean sheet as Worcester City beat Stalybridge Celtic 4-0.

To League One and striker JJ Hooper started his second consecutive game for Northampton Town this past weekend.

JJ played 65 minutes before being replaced in the Cobblers 3-1 home defeat to Millwall.

Also, back to Non-League and Billy Reeves came off the bench with 11 minutes to go in Witton Albion's 4-0 thumping of Bedworth.

Finally, Sam Johnson was an unused substitute as Gateshead came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Alfreton Town in the FA Cup.
