Foley: ‘Progression Is On The Way Up’

9 May 2016

Sam Foley feels Port Vale’s 2015/16 season has been one full of encouragement and believes it will provide a base to progress even further next term.

The Valiants finished the campaign with a disappointing home loss to promotion hopefuls Walsall but the 29-year-old midfielder was quick to focus on the positives of an exceptional nine months.

“It certainly is a progression,” he told Valiant PlayerHD. “Every year this Club since the promotion they’ve progressed that little bit more.

“I think it’s huge progression on last season from what I can speak to the lads about that were here.

“You look at the players who have come in, those that have stepped up and the players that were already here and they’ve had to step up at times as well.

“So I think progression is definitely on the way up and if we can build on this season again for next season it’ll put the Club in a very good place.”
