Page On An ‘Uncharacteristic’ Performance

21 March 2016

Port Vale boss Rob Page was disappointed to see his side’s unbeaten run at home come to an end following an ‘uncharacteristic’ performance in the loss to Burton Albion.

The Sky Bet League One leaders scored four goals at Vale Park, two in each half, as they brought an end to the Valiants’ six-month stretch without a defeat at home.

Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD, the manager admitted his players were nowhere near their best against the Brewers.

“I’m disappointed with the manner in which we’ve done it because that wasn’t like us today, that was uncharacteristic," he said.

“That wasn’t my group of players there. They’ve normally shown the levels of performances, especially, at home to get that record. So we’ll move on and put it right on Friday.”
