Mr Simpson has officiated 26 games so far this season, including Vale’s 1-0 loss to Bradford City at Valley Parade in August.
He has brandished 92 yellow cards and sent off five players.
Ryan Johnson and Mark Dwyer will assist Simpson as linesman at Vale Park while Gary Hilton will be the fourth official.
