Match Preview - Newcastle Town

8 July 2016

We preview the upcoming game this weekend against Newcastle Town.

FIXTURE: Newcastle Town v Port Vale

DATE: Saturday 9th July
KICK OFF: 2.30pm
VENUE: Aspire Stadium.

Vale start their pre-season campaign away to Evo-Stik Division One South side Newcastle Town in the club's first game of 2016/17.

The game which is the club’s traditional curtain-raiser will be a chance for all members of the first-team squad to get their first experience of match action since returning to training on the 1st July.

It will also be a chance to further develop the players’ fitness levels ahead of the first league game of the season away to Bradford City on August 6th.

The fixture will also see the new summer signings – Kjell Knops, Calvin Mac-Intosch, Paulo Tavares, Carlos Saleiro, Rigino Cicilia, Kiko, Anthony de Freitas and Quentin Pereira- get the chance to make their first appearances as Valiants.

Along with the new additions in the side, it will also be the first time Bruno Ribeiro will take control of Vale, so don’t miss out on the opportunity to get your first look at the new manager.

Last season’s encounter between the two teams saw Vale come away from the Aspire Stadium victors through goals from Colin Daniel, Michael Brown and Achille Campion

Supporters can pay on the day to enter the Aspire Stadium for the 2:30pm kick-off, so why not come down and support Vale as they begin their 2016/17 season.

Ticket Prices for the game have been issued as followed by Newcastle Town:
