Bruno On Rochdale Win

18 August 2016

Port Vale manager, Bruno Ribeiro has adjusted to life in League One in a flash and currently sees his side in the play-offs.

Of course it’s far to early to be looking at the table, but seven points out of nine and with three clean sheets, it’s always a good sight to see.

Following victory in the most recent outing, Bruno spoke to Valiant PlayerHD and insisted that he is still ‘very happy’.

He said: “We start preparing for the next game now against Swindon.

They’re a good team but we continue to improve from the back onwards and we take each game at a time.

“I’m still very happy, we try to win every game and every game is three points for us and now we have seven we will keep going.

“We will try to continue not conceding goals as we play well and were organised well, but we need to keep working and improving.

Ribeiro saw his side pick up the win against Rochdale midweek, thanks to a first goal for defender Nathan Smith.

The 20 year-old has come in for a lot of praise in recent weeks for his performances and the manager continued to echo those words.

He added: “He is fantastic, he works every day and when I came in to the club, in pre-season, I didn’t see faces, ages or names just players.

Nathan was fanatic in pre-season and now he starts playing, he is fantastic in the air and with his feet he improves every day.”
