Sky Bet League One Round Up

21 September 2015

There was plenty of action in Sky Bet League One over the weekend. Here, we provide a short round up of the results.

Burton Albion went to the top of the table with a 1-0 win away at Swindon Town. Stuart Beavon scored the decisive goal in the first half to send Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s side to the summit.

Elsewhere Walsall consolidated their solid start to the season with a 1-1 draw at managerless Peterborough United.

Romaine Sawyers opened the scoring early in the second half but a late Michael Bostwick penalty denied the Saddlers all three points.

The battle of Lancashire between Wigan Athletic and Fleetwood Town ended in a 2-1 win for the Latics at the DW Stadium.

Jordan Flores and Michael Jacobs’ put the hosts in a commanding lead before Tyler Hornby-Forbes grabbed a consolation for the Cod Army in the second half.

A very early Adam King strike earned Crewe Alexandra their first win of the season at Shrewsbury Town.

Jermaine Grandison was dispossessed in his own half and King hammered home from outside the area to seal the victory for Steve Davis’ side.
