Full back Ben Purkiss is enjoying the combinations being created down Port Vale’s right flank this season.
The 31-year-old, who joined from Walsall during the summer, has started in all of the Valiants’ fixtures so far this term.
More often than not he has been paired with Byron Moore and the two have been formidable both in an attacking sense and defensively.
Speaking exclusively to Valiant PlayerHD ahead of the Oldham Athletic clash, Purkiss said: “I think we’re coming along nicely down the right hand side.
“I think personally I feel like performance levels have been consistent and a decent level of consistency as well.
“I hope as relationships develop with players in the team, as you get used to playing with people that can take ten, fifteen or twenty games sometimes.
“Hopefully that will improve and we will continue on an upward curve down the right hand side. So we’re encouraged but hopefully more to come.”
