He became manager Rob Page’s second signing of the day after Sam Kelly had joined just a few hours earlier.

Streete spent time on loan with the Valiants last season and revealed that a return to Vale Park was always his first choice.

Speaking to Valiant Player, the centre back also said that the messages he had received from Vale supporters helped him make his mind up.

“Obviously the lure of playing first team football and the feedback I had off the fans, knowing how much they wanted me to come back and things like that, all played a factor but it was always one of the first options to come here,” he said.
