Prior to his summer switch to Vale Park Purkiss spent three years at Banks’s Stadium, during which he made 85 appearances.
Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD ahead of the game, the right back admitted it will be nice to see some familiar faces.
“I’m looking forward to it,” he said. “It was the first fixture I looked for when the fixture list was first published and I’m just looking forward to going back.
“It’s a really good club, it’s a club that’s run in the right way, everyone pulling in the same direction, everyone getting behind each other.”
