Alnwick On Defensive Stability

20 August 2015

Jak Alnwick says he has already built a strong understanding with the club’s defenders after just a few weeks at Vale Park.

The 22-year-old, who joined the Valiants earlier this month, has started all of Vale’s fixtures since his arrival, keeping two clean sheets.

Remie Streete and Ryan Inniss have been the only changes to the back four in those matches, each having started two games.

Carl Dickinson, Ben Purkiss and Richard Duffy, meanwhile, have played every minute of the campaign so far.

Speaking exclusively to Valiant PlayerHD, Alnwick said he already has a good bond with his new teammates.

“It’s always nice to have a settled back four, obviously if you’re working with them every week you start to get to know how people play,” he commented.

“It’s nice because we haven’t changed that much and it’s been brilliant really because you know how each other plays now so it’s been good.”
