Talking about the new website Chris Taylor, Head of Education at Port Vale FC Academy said:
"We are pleased to launch this new website which features a collection of memorabilia relating to the football club and aspects of its history during the last 100 years. This work has been made possible as a result of a grant from Awards For All successfully bid by the “Vale Park Community Initiative”. I would like to place on record my thanks to the many people who have made this project possible. We have tried to eliminate errors relating to dates etc. but please accept my apologies if we have included any inaccuracies.
"It is not intended to cover the history of the football club but rather to exhibit items which have been donated by supporters or purchased recently which we hope will form the basis of literacy projects to be offered to local schools and particularly to groups of older people who have memories of past decades."
Over the coming weeks the official site will be highlighting a number of stories and pictures that can be found on the site.
