Port Vale manager Micky Adams is currently in the middle of a 150m bike ride from London to Amsterdam to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
We caught up with Micky just after he had got into Colchester for a quick break before cycling 21m more to finish up for the day at Harwich, where the group will take a ferry to Holland.
“It’s quarter past 2 and we’re at Colchester United, I believe we’ve got another 21miles to go to Harwich but so far so good. My legs are a little bit tired but generally I’m in good shape.”
“I’ve been up near the top, showing some of these youngsters what I can do but at the end of the day it’s not a race, you can take it as quick or as slow as you want but I’d rather get there than be at the back of the group. I’m really enjoying it.
“There’s a good spirit amongst everybody and it’s even better that we’re raising a few quid for Prostate Cancer UK as well which is the whole point of it all.”
