Vale take on Norton United this evening at Norton Cricket Club

Vale make the short trip along the road to Smallthorne where they face Norton United this evening at their Community Drive ground where Norton Cricket Club are also based.

Norton United are expecting a large Vale following for this evening’s pre-season friendly and as on previous occasions, all will be made more than welcome.

.thIt will be Vale’s second match in two days – their third match in four days in fact, as the players continue with their preparation in readiness for the big kick off on August 9

Trialists Javan Vidal, Steve Jennings and Silvertre Guyonet are all expected to figure, with Micky Adams looking to make decisions on which players, if any, he can add to his squad by the weekend.

The Club are already believed to be in talks with the agent of Michael O’Connor, who played against Newcastle Town at the weekend, though he will be also considering offers from elsewhere.

Micky will again rotate his squad, giving all players game time, with the emphasis on fitness, so if you haven’t already seen them, it will be a good opportunity to see the new signings in action.
