Manager Speaks To Valiant Player After Win

  • Boss delighted following win over Sheffield United
  • Attention now turns to Sunday's game away at Swindon Town
  • Page believes players should be confident going to County Ground

Port Vale manager Rob Page says his side will go into Sunday’s game against Swindon Town with bags of confidence following back-to-back wins.

Ben Williamson and Dany N’Guessan scored to earn the Valiants three points at Vale Park on Boxing Day in a 2-1 victory over Sheffield United.

Page’s side were also impressive last weekend away at Crawley Town - a long trip from which they also came away with a win.

Speaking to Valiant Player after the Sheffield United game, the 40-year-old was delighted with his players and says their belief will be high heading to the County Ground this weekend.

“Two wins back-to-back now, we’ve got to take confidence going into Swindon, who are an extremely good team, and we’ve got to be at our very best if we want to get something out of the game,” he said.
