Players Pose For Photograph Before Training
Port Vale’s players got involved in the Football Remembers ‘A Moment in History’ event before training on Tuesday morning.
Clubs up and down the country posed for photographs prior to their fixtures last weekend to commemorate and celebrate the spirit of the Christmas Truce football matches of 1914.
Vale did not have a game but that didn’t stop the players as they came together to hold up individual letters to spell ‘#FootballRemembers’ on the training pitch.
Manager Rob Page said: “It’s so important for us to remember these historic events like the Christmas Truce matches from 1914.
“We didn’t have a game over the weekend but when the players saw what was going on at the stadiums all over the country, with the photos being taken, they wanted to get involved.”
