We have new leaders
Vale employee Adam Herbert now sits proudly at the top of the fantasy league after knocking early leader Clayton Orient off their perch.
Adam’s team, imaginatively (not) called AJH (I wonder what his middle name is) moved up to first place after picking up 71 points last weekend, and that’s no mean feat considering there are now a mind blowing 422 teams in the league (plus another three to be added at the next points update)
Let’s have a look at Adam’s current selection to see if we can pick up any tips.
In goal he has gone for Joe Hart (£6.5 million). Adam has gone for a back four consisting of Leighton Baines (£7.5 million), Pablo Zabaleta (£6.3 million, Kyle Walker (£6.0 million) and Branislav Ivanovic (£6.5 million).
He has four midfielders – Jack Wilshere (£6.3 million), José Paulo Bezerra Maciel Júnior – better known as Paulinho (£7.0 million), Gnegneri Yaya Touré (9.0 million) and Eden Hazard (9.3 million). That leaves Adam with two up top and they are his skipper, Olivier Giroud (£9.0 million) and Daniel Sturridge (£9.2 million).
Looking at the Vale players & staff this week, we have picked out Dominic Dell’s team who are called Delletico Germain – Dom has creditable 55 points this week with the following team:
In goal Petr Cech, a back three consisting of Erik Pieters, Pablo Zabaleta and Calum Chambers, along with a midfield four ofMesut Özil, Matt Jarvis, Michael Carrick and Gnegneri Yaya Touré. Dom’s three up top are Fraizer Campbell, Robin van Persie and Christian Benteke.
Throughout the season we will feature random teams in the matchday programme and occasionally on the club’s website www.port-vale.co.uk, so keep an eye out, you may well get a mention.
It’s not too late to enter a team, with monthly prizes up for grabs, you are in with a chance of grabbing a prize at any time during the season.
To register, go to http://fantasy.premierleague.com/, click on register and fill in the requested details. Once this is done, you can log in, using your email address and password and begin to select your squad.
Once you have selected your squad, select ‘Create or join leagues’, then ‘Join a League’, then ‘Private League’, you will then be prompted to enter a code - enter 109079-32038, and then select Port Vale Fantasy Football.
