Chairman makes promise to hourly staff
Due to an I.T. failing the Club was unable to pay the hourly paid staff on Friday. We have attempted to resolve the problem today, but unfortunately have been unsuccessful.
Vale Chairman Norman Smurthwaite said this evening: “If it is not resolved on Monday we are proposing to make cash payments.
“If we haven’t managed to sort out the problem we will make arrangements so that all of the hourly staff can be paid in cash, so that they don’t have to wait any longer.
“I can only apologise for any problems this may have caused, but it is something that is out of the club’s control. We are, however, doing everything we possibly can to put things right.”
