PORT VALE FANTASY FOOTBALL CHALLENGE

13 November 2013

We feature two more teams this week

Heading into a week of inactivity as far as Fantasy Football is concerned, we pick out two more teams and look at their team selection, formation and of course, just how many points they managed last weekend.

First team to catch the eye was Gerard Austin’s Action Freeze Vale, who amassed an impressive 91 points, not surprisingly moving Gerard’s team up the league into a creditable 52nd place.

His line-up? We start in goal withBradley Guzan (7 points) and in front of him Gerard has gone for a solid four of Pablo Zabaleta (1), Jan Vertonghen (2), Leighton Baines (8) and Ron Vlaar (7). In midfield Gerard has Leon Britton (2), Steven Gerrard (11), Kevin Nolan (4) and Sebastian Larsson (3). That’s 45 points so far, less than half of his total, so where did his other 46 points come from? The answer is from his remaining two players, his forward pairing of Rickie Lambert (Captain, 30) and in-form Luis Suárez (16).

place. Only two points behind in the table with a total of 608, AdgersAllstars (Alan Hibberd) could only muster 29 points this week.rdOur second team this week sit just one place below Action Freeze Vale, in 53

In goal Alan hasPetr Cech (1 point) In defence he has gone for Gary Cahill (1), Pablo Zabaleta (1), and Leighton Baines (8). Alan’s midfield four disappointingly only managed 8 points between them. Ashley Westwood (3), Gnegneri Yaya Touré (2), Ross Barkley (1) and Aaron Ramsey (2).With the three he has up top you would expect a much better return than 10 points – sadly that’s exactly what they got between them - Olivier Giroud (2), Wayne Rooney (4) and Daniel Sturridge (4).

Throughout the season we will feature random teams in the matchday programme and occasionally on the club’s websitewww.port-vale.co.uk, so keep an eye out, you may well get a mention.
