Danny Jones named Health Ambassador for Port Vale

Yesterday Port Vale player Danny Jones attended a Men Health seminar at the Swan Bank Methodist Church, Burslem.

The men's health seminar was promoting healthy eating, exercise and personal care amongst highlighting the relationship between lifestyle health and mental health.

Danny spoke to those who attended about his personal health schedule.

Danny Jones, “I enjoy talking about my fitness schedule – It is something that has helped me become the footballer I am today.

“It is important to maintain a certain understanding of your own personal health so that you can then monitor high and low points within your life.

“As a footballer when I am injured it is depressing because I cannot play – It's important to maintain a level of fitness even when injured so that I can return to full fitness faster.”

Danny will be Port Vales Health Ambassador for the season and will be playing an active part in the communities health and fitness in the future.

Danny, “It's nice to know that people can feel comforted knowing everyone has the same health concerns.

“There are lots of opportunities around to improve any risks.

“Our Community team offer free health checks at Port Vale football club, including BMI, body fat percentage, blood pressure.

“These services mean that anyone can come and keep an active check on their health and fitness and with the guide and support from our team can improve their lifestyles.”
