PORT VALE FANTASY FOOTBALL CHALLENGE

Here are the latest offerings from the Valefantasy league, in the shape ofAint got a Kalou*, a team managed by Martin Shirley – they scored 68 points last weekend. So, without any further ado, let’s have a look at Martin’s team line-up.

Martin has Simon Mignolet (2 points) in goal and a back three of Ron Vlaar (0) and Pablo Zabaleta (2), Per Mertesacker (2). He has gone for a midfield four consisting of Adnan Januzaj (2), Yohan Cabaye (10), Mesut Özil (10) and Aaron Ramsey (3).

Up front Romelu Lukaku earned Martin 5 points, whilst a huge amount of his week’s total of 68 points were netted by skipper Luis Suárez (30) and finally Álvaro Negredo (2).

It seems that a large number of managers have cottoned on to the fact that selecting Luis Suárez as captain is paying dividends, so in effect they are cancelling each other out.

A fantasy football veteran with a wealth of experience, Andy hasn’t taken that route and he may well be regretting his decision not to include the Uruguayan in  his side - The Fixers.

Andy’s team line-up? In goal he has gone for Simon Mignolet (2 points), then he too has a back three - Pablo Zabaleta (2), Leighton Baines (0), and Per Mertesacker (2). In the middle of the park Andy has selected Ross Barkley (2), Andros Townsend (1), Gnegneri Yaya Touré (2) and Aaron Ramsey (3). He has a strike force of three players and they are Daniel Sturridge (0)Wayne Rooney (0) and captaining the side with 10 points, Romelu Lukaku.
