More than three points at stake?

Vale Reserves travel to the north west to take on their Morecambe counterparts tonight, and there could be a bit more than three points at stake.

Following Vale’s home defeat to Gillingham at the weekend, this match may be the opportunity for one or two players to force their way into the starting eleven at Bradford on Saturday.

Boss Micky Adams hinted that he would consider making changes for the match at the Coral Windows Stadium at the weekend and he will be showing some interest in tonight’s fixture.

He has, interestingly, omitted the likes of Ryan Burge, Ben Williamson and Adam Yates this evening, though both Gareth Owen and Darren Murphy will play.

Tonight’s Vale team:Sam Johnson, Joe Evans, Tom Morris, Kingsley James, Gareth Owen, Joe Davies, Josh Croft, Darren Murphy, Ollie Marland, Luke Beesley, Ryan Lloyd. Subs: Ryan Boot, Doug Price, Jack Pryor, Will Whieldon, Macauley Davies
