Defender Remie Streete first joined Port Vale on a one-month loan deal in October 2014, before signing permanently in the summer of 2015 after being released by Newcastle United. Streete was recalled from his loan by the Magpies and was then sent out on-loan to Rangers, where he played one game due to injury. The youngster had been on the club’s radar for a while and was watched playing for the Magpies’ U21s by Vale chairman Norman Smurthwaite and manager Rob Page.

20-year-old centre-back Streete will be hoping to bring pace and power to the Vale backline as he aims to build on his impressive displays during his month-long loan last season.

After signing a permanent contract with the club, Streete made his first appearance in the club's opening game of the season against Crewe Alexandra.
