The Vale Youth where looking to put back to back wins together only for the second time this season.

As the game started neither teams could get a grip of the game with both teams creating only half chances, Vale's forward Malbon going close from a short range effort and Morecambe going close with one particular effort a one on one against Johnson which they failed to convert. Vale rode there luck at times but then where rewarded with a corner that Lloyd whippedinto the box which was met by the Morecombe central defenders headonly to the edge of the box, where Beeston was awaiting to provide a clinical finish. The rest of the half stayed stalemate with neither side creating many more clear cut chances, Vale would go into the half time break 1-0 up and knowing they had not performed to there best.

Much like the first half the game started poorly both side cancelling each other out, however Vale started to apply the pressure with Rice going close without converting, shortly followed by a good run from Bratt beating the odd player or two on the way and neatly sliding in a pass to Beeston for a 1v1 with keeper, Beeston kept his cool to round the keeper and slot home for his second and put the Vale 2-0 up. Vale started to believe in themselves with numerous deliveries from wide positions into the box and finally a nicely floated pass from Rice to the back post found Bratt who slotted in for Vale's third 3-0, Davis scored minutes later only to turn and see the linesman with his flag up! Morecambe continued playing but the Vale held firm to keep the score 3-0 and the second back to back victory and hopefully three consecutive wins with next weeks game.
